Car Insurance Ford (Car Insurance). 07 Toyota Corolla or 07 Ford Focus?

07 Toyota Corolla or 07 Ford Focus? Which should I buy? The Corolla has 40K miles and is $12,000. The Focus has 34K miles and is $10,000. The Corolla is silver with black interior and has custom black rims, a spoiler, side skirts, a sliding sun roof and it rides smother than the Focus and gets better gas milege 32/41. The Focus is cheaper but very basic and plain. It is gold with tan interior and the ride is a little rougher. They are both Standards(stick shift). I'm leaning towards the Toyota but I would rather drive an American car. Its a tough choice but what would you do?

I think the Corolla will be more reliable if you plan to keep the car for a long time. I would ask for maintenance records to see if the toyota got regular oil changes because toyota is still dealing with oil sludge problems mostly on cars that had poor maintenance. The best maintained car may be your best choice. I would choose the Corolla because it's just simply better than the focus but it's all up to personal opinion. First of all, the fair market price for these two vehicles isn't necessarily the asking price. The Corolla with the equipment you describe has a fair market value of $11,400, and the Focus as equipped is at $9,800. So for starters, the dealer on the Focus is closer to a fair price on the car. You're talking a $1,600 difference here. So, you need to evaluate: a) How long does it take to get my money back on the fuel economy difference? Focus has a combined fuel economy of 31mpg, Corolla is at 36mpg, giving Corolla a 16% fuel advantage. The average fuel consumption based on typical miles for the Focus is around $1,700 per year. At this rate, it takes almost 6 years to get your money back if you buy the Corolla. In recent years, Toyota has proven how sloppy they can be when it comes to vehicle quality. They ignored repeated warnings of problems on all the recalls they've had, and now they've gotten a well justified tarnished name. Meanwhile, Ford has shown a lot of dedication to vehicle quality, and their vehicle ratings have shown it. Their sedans have jumped beyond both Toyota and Honda. By the way, Car Fax has nothing to do with oil changes, etc. Haven't seen one yet that had anywhere near a complete story on any vehicle. It is virtually impossible for anyone to know exactly what was done to a car besides the vehicle owner. My choice would be the American car. Go with the Corolla. Ford is the king of recalls (I bet you didn't know that.)

Ford . Im trying to remove red paint from a blue gel coat?

Im trying to remove red paint from a blue gel coat? Hi. I have purchased a little shetland type boat and have discovered someone has hand painted the topside red over a powder blue gel-coat. I have started to remove the red pain with Nitromors, acetone and elbow grease. It has been suggested that I use "brick acid" to clean of the last remnants of red that are deep in the gel-coat. Have you had any experience with "brick acid" on GRP or any other suggestions greatly received car insurance.

Ford . How to Check and Refill the Battery Electrolyte in a Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Corolla is a compact car named the best selling name plate in the history of automotives. It's a great fuel-efficient, reliable and dependable car that will go beyond 100,000 miles if you take care of it properly. Learn how to do simple maintenance to your Toyota Corolla, including checking and refilling the battery electrolyte fluid once a month.
Difficulty:Easy
Instructions

Step by Step :
1
Park your Toyota Corolla, turn the engine off and open the hood. Make sure your car is parked in a safe place on level ground.
2
Find out if your Toyota Corolla has a sealed, maintenance-free battery or a traditional cell battery. If you have a traditional battery, remove the six cell caps. Look at the fluid levels in each one. There is an indicator line on the outside of each cell. If fluid levels are low fill with distilled water. Don't fill with regular water as there are chemicals that can ruin your battery. Be careful to not overfill with the distilled water.
3
Check fluid levels on a maintenance free battery using the battery's built in hydrometer. The hydrometer has a clear plastic ball with one of three colors. A green eye indicates a full charged and adequate fluid battery. A yellow eye indicates that the battery is low on electrolyte fluid and the battery needs to be thrown away and replaced. A dark eye indicates that the battery is getting charge but needs additional fluid.
4
Replace the cell caps on the traditional battery. Make sure the caps are on tight.
Tips & Warnings
Wear protective gloves and eye glasses while working around your battery.

If you have to refill your battery often, consider having a mechanic look at it.

Don't fill your battery with regular water because the chemicals in it can ruin your battery.

Use caution when you're checking and refilling your battery's electrolyte fluid levels. Car batteries contain sulfuric acid that can burn your eyes and skin. If you get sulfuric acid on your skin, wash it off immediately with cold water and seek medical attention.

Ford . How to Check and Refill the Battery Electrolyte in a VW Jetta

The Volkswagen Jetta derives its name from jet streams, and it lives up to this name as an upscale car that's easy to drive. To make sure your battery is functioning as it should in your Jetta, you need to check the electrolyte levels in the battery at least once a month. If you have a non-sealed battery, you can fill the levels if they get low.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions

Step by Step :
1
Turn your car engine off and open the hood.
2
Determine whether you have a sealed or non-sealed battery. A non-sealed battery has removable caps.
3
Open the caps on a non-sealed battery and look at the fluid levels. There's a line marked outside the battery case, which shows where the electrolyte fluid should be. Check each cell individually. Add distilled water if the levels are low.
4
Use the hydrometer outside the battery to check the electrolyte fluid levels if you have a sealed battery. A green eye indicates that the battery is charged and has electrolyte fluid. A dark eye indicates that the battery has enough fluid but the charge is not significant. A yellow eye indicates that the battery does not have enough charge or fluid.
Tips & Warnings
Though you should always check your VW Jetta's battery electrolyte fluid at least once a month, consider checking the levels more often during the hot summer months.

If you're adding water during freezing temperatures, first drive your car several miles so the distilled water can mix with the electrolyte. This prevents the battery from freezing.

You can't add fluids to a sealed battery.

Use precaution when working around your car's battery. The battery contains sulfuric acid that can be hazardous to your skin. Wash immediately with cold water if you get any sulfuric acid on your skin.

Don't add regular drinking water as this will ruin your car's battery.

If your owner's manual has instructions for draining the liquid from the cooling system, follow them. (This option is better than following the instructions in this section, because air is less likely to be trapped in the system after you finish the job.) If you don't have a manual or it lacks such instructions, follow these steps to flush your cooling system and change the coolant without endangering the environment: 1. Park the vehicle in a safe place, away from children and small animals. Make sure that the engine is cold, the ignition is off, and the parking brake is on. Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System 2. Place a bucket that can hold at least 2 gallons under the drain valve at the bottom of the radiator. 684 Car Insurance 2003 lincoln navigator sportutility4d 430332

3. Open the drain valve and allow the liquid to drain into the bucket. Do not allow the liquid to drain onto the ground or into a storm drain or sewer. 4. Close the drain valve. 5. Pour the liquid into a container with a tight-fitting lid, labeling it clearly as "antifreeze" or "coolant" and storing it away from kids and pets until you can dispose of it safely.

8. Allow the engine to cool and then drain the water out of the system into the bucket again. Pour that water into a closed container for disposal. 9. Refill the system with water and coolant. See "Determining how much coolant you need," earlier in this chapter. The liquid should reach the "Max" line on the coolant recovery reservoir. If it doesn't, add equal parts water and coolant until it does. 10. Replace the pressure cap and run the engine with the heater on high until the temperature gauge reads in the normal range. This step disperses the water and coolant evenly throughout the system. 11.
